Herschel Supply presents its achromatic Basquiat Collection for the Holiday Season 2019.
As homage to departed artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, Herschel Supply’s Basquiat collection returns for the Holiday Season 2019. He is regarded as one of the most important artists of the 20th century and is known for his rough, spontaneous style, the use of urban images, political-poetic graffiti, and the bold sense of color and composition.
The new collection celebrates the expressive work of the New York artist and shows a dynamic, full-surface black-and-white print of “Beat Bop” cover art, which Basquiat originally created for a test vinyl pressing of the hip-hop single by Rammellzee and K-Rob in 1983. This print can now be found on the Nineteen Hip Pack, the Nova Mid Backpack, the Nova Mid-Volume Backpack, the Classic Backpack XL, the Novel Duffle, the Cruz Crossbody and the Chapter Travel Kit. The popular print also adorns a select selection of clothing and accessories, including short and long sleeve teas, the Coach Jacket, the Hip Pack Anorak, Wallets and Headwear.
