KOMONO x BALOJI

When you create a collection with modern nomad Baloji, you know you’ll be going places. One of those places was the Fondation Cartier in Paris, where Baloji, his ‘Katuba Orchestra’ and contemporary dancer Jolie Ngemi were invited to perform as part of the ‘Soirées Nomades’ experience.

Baloji not only brought his irresistible blend of music, style and dance to Paris; he also took the opportunity to showcase his Komono sunglasses inspired by Congolese beauty and history.

Above you can find a beautiful video of Jolie Ngemi blurring the line between music and art by dancing inside the Paris museum. She is wearing the Baloji+Komono ‘Mujinga’ design, made with malachite acetate exclusively developed by Komono.
